Use the right document for the answer you need. Here are the useful places to look. ## For the drug’s purpose, read the record and label. The FDA (Food and Drug Administration) medicine record identifies the approved product. The label gives its listed use and the cautions that go with it. The September 2026 tesamorelin labels describe the two products and the checks needed during care. Weight loss was not an approved use in the September 2026 label. Where do I start? Look for the section on indications, which means the uses the label lists. Ask the prescriber to explain how the listed use applies to your case. Ask whether the claim being made matches those people and that result. The main tesamorelin trials studied adults with HIV and excess belly fat. HIV is short for human immunodeficiency virus. A placebo is the dummy treatment used for comparison. Look at how much changed on tesamorelin and how much changed on the dummy shot. An advert giving only the tesamorelin result leaves that comparison out. For a doctor’s licence, use the state board record. For a pharmacy’s licence, use the state board of pharmacy. The medical board federation’s remote-care documents are guidance; each state’s own rules have the force of law. FDA says pharmacies cannot legally make their own versions of medicines in the group that includes tesamorelin (September 2026).
